How quickly can we expect to hear back from you when we contact you?

Whenever you contact us, you can expect a response within 24 hours. Expect prompt and courteous communication in the method you prefer. We can call, text, e-mail, or message on Facebook.

Are estimates free?

Estimates are completely free, so there’s no obligation to get a quote. To schedule an estimate, call/text us at 315-864-4007, fill out the form on this website, message us through Facebook, or email.

What can I expect from the estimate process?

When you request an estimate, we strive to schedule it within 10 days unless it is for a hazardous tree that threatens safety or property. We will deliver a written quote to you within 10 days of your estimate. You will be fully informed of how we intend to complete your project (ex. will there be a climber? What kind of equipment is needed? Where will you drop the tree?). If you accept our quote, we will give you an estimated start date and communicate any changes as soon as we know of them.

How much does tree removal cost?

Every project is different, so we can't provide an accurate cost estimate without looking at the job in person. Sometimes, we can provide an initial assessment via photos, but more often than not, we will need to view it in person to quote the cost accurately.

Will I have to pay taxes on my project?

Tree trimming and removal projects are subject to NY State Sales Tax, except if the customer is tax-exempt or if it could be considered a capital improvement project (ex. removal is occurring to build a new structure, to plant new trees/shrubs, etc.). We will help you determine if your project is tax exempt and assist you with filling out a simple, one-page temporary tax exemption form, saving you money.

Are you fully insured?

Yes. We carry full business liability coverage, workers compensation coverage, and an inland marine policy for our equipment. Proof of insurance is gladly provided upon request. We can also name you or your entity as an additional insured on our policy for the duration of your project as needed, for a small fee.

What can I expect before, during, and after my project?

Before we move forward, we help you communicate with your neighbors if the trees are on a property line or if the safest removal method is by working from adjoining property. We will inform you of your projected start date within 7 days of accepting our estimate. We will communicate any changes as soon as we are aware of them, and we will confirm with you the day before we start work. Thomas Plows, the owner, will be on your job site daily. For projects under $5,000, we do not request any payment upfront. For projects over $5,000, we request a 15% deposit. We will never ask for final payment until you are completely satisfied. We will deliver an invoice via upon project completion. We accept multiple forms of payment, including cash, checks, and ACH transfer. We also accept credit cards with a 3% processing fee.
